2. Gently clean your tattoo: After removing the bandage, wash your tattoo gently with lukewarm water and mild fragrance-free soap. Use your clean hands and avoid using a cloth or sponge. Pat dry with a clean paper towel or let it air dry.

3. Apply a thin layer of ointment (Aquaphor) Apply a thin layer of the ointment to your tattoo, ensuring it's not too thick or greasy.

4. Avoid excessive ointment application: Use the ointment sparingly. Applying too much can suffocate the tattoo and impede the healing process. Remember, a little goes a long way.

5. Moisturize with fragrance-free lotion: After the initial ointment phase (usually around 5-6 days), transition to using a fragrance-free, mild lotion to keep your tattoo moisturized. Apply a thin layer whenever your tattoo feels dry or tight.

6. Avoid picking or scratching: It's essential to resist the temptation to pick at scabs or scratch your healing tattoo. Let them naturally fall off to prevent scarring or color loss.
